Quinten Loontjer is a new teacher at Elwood High School this year. He teaches personal finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, computer science, business tech, senior seminar/financial literacy, and economics.
Loontjer has taught for two years. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for undergraduate work and is currently attending the University of Nebraska-Kearney for graduate work.
When asked about who his favorite student is he said, “I have no favorite students.”
Loontjer's favorite thing about teaching is the students he gets to teach.
Loontjer declared that the biggest challenge he faces while teaching is adapting his teaching styles to the new generations of students and changing times.
