Senior Gavin Tilson says he will remember the laughter and the people who inspired it as he graduates and heads to college.
While at Elwood High School, Tilson was involved in many activities, including football, cross country, FFA, National Honor Society, and student council. Tilson said his favorite class in high school was history, but he and classmates shared good laughs in other classes, as well.
“In FCS Kaylin used salt instead of sugar and it was awful!” he said.
Tilson spoke fondly of being a student at EHS. One thing he said he will miss the most is “having people around me and people who cared for me.”
As a senior, Tilson had some advice for younger students: “Don’t procrastinate, and try a sport you don’t see yourself doing,” he said. He explained that he never thought of doing cross country but he tried it one year and it ended up being an enjoyable and fun sport for him.
Tilson plans to go to a university and get a bachelor's degree in athletics training.
Tilson noted, “I had a goofy time, and laughter in a day keeps the doctor away.”
