Mrs. Nickell, Elwood’s music teacher, and her students worked hard over the last couple months to prepare for this year’s Christmas program. Nickell shared some insights about the preparations and what has been going on in Elwood’s music department.
According to Nickell, the students learned their songs quickly and were focused on improving their music. Attendance was a challenge at times, with some students missing class, which can make it harder to keep everyone at the same pace. Despite this, students continued to practice and work toward mastering their parts for the program.
Nickell also noted that some students stepped outside their comfort zones. While certain students are naturally expressive in their roles, others worked to add more emotion and confidence to their performances.
Nickell stated that each class contributes something unique to her day. She said that all students have been working hard and bringing their own strengths to Elwood’s music program.
