The Elwood High School Quiz Bowl Team is having a great year so far!

Ben Edgecombe, the Quiz Bowl coach, explained how the team’s practices are important to their success.

“We do a great job of adapting during competition and showing up to practice to get better,” he said. “Our practices consist of competing against each other with practice questions and buzzers.”

Those practices help Edgecombe and the team identify how they can compete better.

“In practice I can see we need to do a better job of buzzing in after the other team misses the question, even if we don't know the answer,” explained Edgecombe. “We went 4-3 at our first meet.”

Edgecombe and team members have set goals to guide them through the season.

“This year's big goals are to place in the top four at conference and hopefully make the State Quiz Bowl,” Edgecombe said. “I am confident this season will go well and I hope we can build off whatever happens at the conference.”

Good luck to the Elwood Quiz Bowl Team!
