Brooke Gengenbach is Elwood Public Schools’ new second grade teacher. Gengenbach grew up in Bertrand, Nebraska, so she is happy to be able to teach in a smaller school district. She says that she is looking forward to working with her students this coming school year and watching them grow as a class and independent people.
When she was in school, Gengenbach participated in many extracurricular activities, including volleyball, basketball, track and field, cheerleading, speech, and one-act. Her advice to current high school students is to “soak in all the fun, because high school flies right past.” Gengenbach lives at Plum Creek Lake. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors,
