With the school year over halfway through, senior Brooke Brockman is positive about
finishing high school strong.
Brockman has been very involved through her years at Elwood Public Schools,
participating in band, FCCLA, volleyball, speech, and one-act play. She says she is looking
forward to passing her college English class. Although Brockman has many memories to recall
from high school, the one that tops all of them was qualifying for FCCLA finals.
When asked what advice she would give to underclassmen, Brockman had a simple
answer, “Stay out of drama. When your ‘friends’ are toxic, leave as soon as possible.”
Brockman’s plans for after high school include going on a senior trip with her
godparents. “I plan to go to CCC for graphic design in August,” says Brockman.
