Ryan Jones is a new addition to Elwood High School, taking the position of principal. Jones grew up and graduated in North Platte, Nebraska. He then continued his education at Ohio Western University where he played shortstop in college baseball for the Ohio Reeves. After his play time with the Reeves, he decided to get his teaching degree at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
The opportunities and old friends Elwood has to give brought Jones to the community. Jones’s hobbies include watching all the sports he can, fishing, and golfing. “I like to fish and golf…not very good at them, but I still enjoy doing it!” he said.
When asked what he was most looking for this year, Jones said “I'm excited about a new job and experiences!” Jones also looks forward to being head wrestling coach for the Hi-Line Bulls. Referring to his own high school experience, he said it was a ”great experience with lots of sports.”
