Beth Fisher is Elwood Public Schools’ new family consumer science teacher. She grew
up in Iowa but then moved to Nebraska and has been living here for 27 years. After raising her
family, she finished her teaching degree and started teaching family consumer science.
Some of Fisher's hobbies are singing, playing the piano, and baking. At school, Fisher is
looking forward to exploring all the ways family consumer science affects the family community.
Her advice for students is, "Never stop learning; always be open to new learning opportunities!"
Fisher says that she has enjoyed her time in Elwood so far, she likes all the students she has
met, and she feels blessed to be here.
