Congratulations to the Elwood Speech Team members who competed at the RPAC Speech Meet at Medicine Valley yesterday! Kara Brockman, our only varsity speaker at the meet yesterday, won both Extemporaneous Speaking and Persuasive Speaking! Our other speakers at the meet are normally novice speakers, but RPAC is varsity only, so they were entered as varsity yesterday! Many of them were only a couple places out of medaling, too! Isabelle Exstrom competed in Varsity Humorous Prose, Chandy Masten competed in Varsity Program Oral Interpretation, or POI. Troubadour Moler competed in Varsity Extemporaneous, and Lauren Cunningham competed in Varsity Serious Prose. We are so proud of all of them for speaking against seasoned varsity speakers while showing improvement and growth! These speakers practice with us multiple times each week and get to compete multiple times at each meet they attend. We're so proud of them, and their hard work is evident in how they are improving!

This week, the Seniors in College English presented arguments against each other in our Argumentative Duals. The winners were Aniston Peterson, Brody Diefenbaugh, and Zailey Moler. Thank you Little Caesars of Lexington for sponsoring our winners!
